Dr O’Leary is the best. She listens to your concerns and is very knowledgable in her field. Spends as much time as needed with you. Never rushes through the visit. She also remembers you from visit to visit and has a good idea of your medical history by reading through the chart.

The one thing I wish I could do is to set an appointment for my annual check up the day of my annual check up. I realize that the appointments are not available that far in advance but I didn't see the notification last year and had to wait a bit longer. For me it's easier to just make the next year's appointment when I am in the office.
Dr. O’Leary is extremely thorough in her exam, but also in taking time to ask questions and allowing me to speak and share as much as I wanted to. Dr. O’Leary is incredibly generous with her listening, kindness, graciousness and time. I was deeply grateful for how carefully she listened to me talk about my concerns. The cherry on the cake was Dr. O offering me treatment that did not include prescriptions,, but a short list of things I can easily do at home to alleviate my symptoms. I truly felt HEARD by this doctor and it was a breath of fresh air knowing I wasn’t given the “cure all” prescription meds, and when I left, I didn’t feel like I had to do all my own research and figure everything out on my own like I’ve had to do for the last 7+ years.

If you are in need of a gynecologist, Dr. Sharon O’Leary is a great choice. Had my first visit today and it went well! For me, degrees/education are important but I need you to be a rock star with those soft skills that really aren’t! I need you to be an excellent active listener, culturally competent and engaged in person-centered care. My voice needs to be included in the conversation, treatment plan, and decision making process.
