I am currently involved in multiple research projects. My main work is on the functional significance of epileptogenic fast activity in the motor cortex seizures. I am interested in surgical epilepsy and intracranial monitoring Stereotactic Electroencephalogram (SEEG). I am working on establishing a new SEEG program at Trinity Health Grand Rapids Hospital.

Why I chose to practice in Grand Rapids...
I am back to Grand Rapids to establish a surgical epilepsy program at Trinity Health Grand Rapids Hospital. I was amazed by the friendly environment and outstanding teamwork here.

I play soccer and tennis. I love watching tennis and my best player is Roger Federer (The GOAT). For soccer, my best player is Lionel Messi.

I am board certified in both Neurology and Epilepsy and have been practicing epilepsy since 2013 as a clinical assistant professor affiliated with Michigan State University. I also practice outpatient general neurology one day a week.
My interests are intractable epilepsy, epilepsy surgery, and Non-epileptic paroxysmal episodes.
Due to high volume of patients with Non-epileptic seizures associated with Medically Unexplained Symptoms (MUS) and psychosomatic comorbidities in our community, my current focus is to understand the mechanisms and different treatment approaches in diagnosis and management of such disorders.
