Interview Information

Program Criteria

Welcome 2024-2025 Match Cycle Applicants!

Thank you for your interest in the Emergency medicine program at Trinity Health Livonia. We are excited about embarking on this journey with you. Applications will be accepted only through the Residency Centralized Application Service (ResidencyCAS). An invitation for an interview will be communicated through email and interviews will take place from October through January. Our ACGME program num ber is 1102500197.

  • Initial interview invitations will be sent out in October 2025.
  • We do not invite more applicants than slots available.
  • Applicants will have a minimum of 72 hours to accept or decline the interview before the slot is released to another candidate. Additional invitations may be sent on a rolling basis
  • In-person Tours and/or Shadow Shifts (Second look) will be offered for applicants who have interviewed. This second look serves as an opportunity for applicants to know the program better for their own benefit. Tours and Second Look shifts will not affect the placement of the applicants on our rank list. The dates will be shared with invited interview applicants only.

Application Requirements

All applications must be received through the Residency Centralized Application Service (ResidencyCAS). The following minimum requirements must be met before your application will be reviewed:

  • ResidencyCAS Common Application
  • Minimum of 1 SLOE
  • Minimum of 21SLOEs
  • USMLE Transcript or COMLEX Transcript
    • At this time, Step 2 is recommended, but not required.
  • Personal Statement
  • Medical School Transcript
  • Medical School Performance Evaluation (MSPE)
  • ECFMG Certificate (if applicable)

International Medical School Graduates

We welcome applications from graduates of medical schools outside the United States. Our institution is able to sponsor J1 visas. In addition to meeting the application requirements listed above, you must also fulfill the following criteria before your application will be reviewed:

  • Must be certified by the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG)

Application Review Process

Applications are reviewed on a holistic basis by our selection committee. During the process of reviewing ResidencyCAS applications, we blind sex, self-identification, and photos to limit unconscious bias. We simply look for applicants who fit with the mission and values of THLH.

Interview Process for Applicants

Interviews will take place on Wednesdays and encompass 4 interview sessions. You will interview with the program director, associate program director, a core faculty member, and a resident, followed by a resident led QA session.

2025 - 2026 Recruitment Season

Interviews will be conducted virtually via ResidencyCAS video platform.
