Curriculum
- Family Medicine Clinic Rotations (FMC): Seven months of dedicated continuity clinic with longitudinal practice management, behavioral health, population health curriculum and experiences.
- Weekly continuity clinic: required for all residents and the schedule is based on the rotation.
- Medicine Teaching Service (MTS): inpatient service led by Family Medicine faculty and residents.
- Electives: Six months, based on clinical interests and/or track.
- Each academic year is divided into 4-week blocks. Total 13 blocks of rotations each year.
PGY1
- 1 month of orientation: FMC and MTS
- 2 months FMC
- 3 months MTS
- Other required rotations: ER (Adult and Pediatrics), Newborn, Labor and Delivery, Intensive Care, Inpatient pediatrics, OB/Gyn Outpatient, and General Surgery
PGY2
- 2 months FMC + 2 weeks Population Health at FMC
- 4 months MTS
- 1 month Outpatient Pediatrics
- 1 month Labor and Delivery (DMC Sinai Grace)
- Subspeciality Required Rotations: Dermatology, Nephrology, and Orthopedics
- 3 months electives
PGY3
- 3 months FMC
- 3 months MTS
- 1 month Outpatient Pediatrics
- 1 month of Geriatrics (nursing home, palliative care)
- Subspeciality Required Rotations: Rheumatology, Sports medicine, Urgent Care, and Addiction Medicine
- 3 months electives
